The cooperation started in 2017 and resulted in a long-term collaboration still active in 2019. Based in André’s and Daniela’s common interests, the cooperation has been promoting joint lectures, visits and resulting in joint papers. Daniela visited UFPR in 2018 and presented her proposal of a framework for securing devices part of the Internet of Things (IoT). SECRET members visited FICS in 2018 for a week of joint research efforts, including André presenting his work on healthcare devices security. SECRET-FICS common interests include malware detection and machine learning algorithms applied to security. Many joint papers have been submitted and are currently under review.
